So hello my fellow fashion-bloggers,
We are already February of 2013 and that means London Fashion Week!
Here is my recap of trends coming up for fall 2013. I loved a lot of the outfits, there are a lot of dark colours, such as black, oxblood, purple and electric blue, but also some bright colours like coral and orange are very popular. The most prominent materials are plaid and leather, but we also find silk, though according to me not very appropriate during winter ( I don’t want to freeze my ass off). The designs are or very bold, or very modest . I’m more the modest kind of girl. 😀 A lot of prints, a lot of lines, and a lot of metallic accents ( that is a trend that will never go away). If you are asking for my opinion, I really liked the collection of Moschino, very playful, young and innovative, a lot of black and white, which I love, a lot.
First of all, there seems to be a continuous presence of Prints, especially with Peter Pilotto, but also Christopher Kane, who seem to be all over prints for the coming up fall season. Many others, such as BCBG, Carolina Herrera use this trend in their creations. Bold, yet straight lines in combination with colourful accents create a unified, bold look to brighten up our depressing, belgian autumn days.
And to my EXTREME happiness, there is an overall popularity of black and white, mixed with colourful accents, though not every designer works with the latter. The use of black and white is perfect for the atmosphere of winter, since the whole of Europe had to endure a very white winter, because of all the snow, this has inspired many designers into their work.
Now for trends: We have a lot of beanies, not just for autumn, but also now, for upcoming spring! So get yours quickly! Here are some addresses, where you can find them! These are a few of my favourites!
To add up to the toughness, an autumn essential is, according to me: COMBATS. Looks to kill and also perfect to protect our fragile feet from the cold and wet snow!
Or for the ones who want to go bolder:
That brings me to my final trend: studs! They have been with us for a while now, and they are still immensly popular, yet they aren’t very popular in London Fashion Week. Yet I cannot live without them, they are perfect to toughen up your outfit and they are also very versatile. You can use them anywhere, on your purse, on your shoes, on your shirt… If you’re feeling creative, here are some tutorials on how to work with studs.
That’s it for now! I’ll keep you updated on the fashion world!
Hugs and Kisses,
